A3Sports Ranked For 88% Of The Targeted Keywords

A3Sports is one of my clients, and I have been working for them from the inception of the company. It is one of the most reputed sports brands in Malaysia selling sports accessories both online and offline. I have been working with this brand for more than four long years in multiple projects. Currently I’m working as a Manager, Digital Marketing for this brand, managing all online marketing activities including website development and management, SEO activities, ecommerce and inventory management and managing paid advertisements. This case study focuses on SEO project where I successfully secured the position of the 22 targeted keywords out of total 25 keywords on the 1st page of Google search result in just one year. Let’s explore my journey to the success on this project.

A3 Sports is a leading sports brand in Malaysia, established in 2019. Located at 70-2-15A, D’Piazza Mall, Jalan Mahsuri, Bayan Baru, Bayan Lepas, Penang, the company specializes in cricket accessories. They provide high-quality products for both beginners and professional players.

A3 Sports sells their products through both online marketplaces and a physical shop. This allows them to reach many customers, whether they prefer shopping online or visiting a store in person. Their shop at D’Piazza Mall is a popular spot for local sports fans, while their online presence helps them attract buyers from all over.

Known for their quality and excellent customer service, A3 Sports has quickly become one of Malaysia’s top sports brands. Their wide range of cricket accessories and smart marketing strategies have helped them grow rapidly. With a solid foundation and clear goals, A3 Sports is set to keep growing and succeeding in the future.

What was the problem of the client?

A3 Sports, despite being a top sports brand in Malaysia, struggled with low online visibility and poor search engine rankings. This led to low website traffic and online sales. They needed a strong SEO strategy to improve their online presence and attract more customers to their e-commerce platforms.

Objective of the project

  2. Make A3 Sports business visible in the local search.

Write and Rank the Blog Articles

Blogs are the key to enhancing brand visibility. Writing high quality blogs can open the door to reaching an unlimited number of potential customers. We set a target of ranking two blog articles each month to make the brand visible and enhance brand recognition.

Assessing the achievement vs target

Buying keywords:

Our target was to rank 25 buying ( money) keywords. After six months of work, I could rank 22 of the targeted keywords in the top 5 at google search result page. Below are 10 of them:

My target was to rank five local keywords to enhance the visibility of the physical shop of A3sports. I could rank all five keywords in the top 10 in the local results. Most of them appeared in the top three. Below is one of the keywords:

Learning and Key Takeaways

The project taught me a lot concerning search engine optimization. Below are a few of my learning.

Keyword Research and Strategy: Effective keyword research is crucial. By identifying and targeting 25 high-intent buying keywords, 5 top local keywords, and 25 blog keywords, we significantly improved A3 Sports’ search engine rankings and attracted a more relevant audience.

Content Optimization: Optimizing existing content and creating new, high-quality content around the targeted keywords boosted organic traffic. Engaging and informative blog posts helped establish A3 Sports as an authority in the cricket accessories niche.

Local SEO: Focusing on local SEO strategies, including optimizing Google My Business and using local keywords, enhanced the brand’s visibility in the local market. This brought more foot traffic to the physical store and increased local online searches.

On-Page and Technical SEO: Implementing on-page and technical SEO best practices, such as improving page load speed, mobile optimization, and proper meta tag usage, played a significant role in improving website performance and user experience.

Continuous Monitoring and Adjustment: Regularly monitoring SEO performance and making necessary adjustments is vital. The project taught me the importance of staying adaptable and responsive to changes in search engine algorithms and market trends.

A well-rounded SEO strategy that includes thorough keyword research, content optimization, local SEO, and technical improvements can lead to substantial increases in online visibility and traffic. For A3 Sports, these efforts resulted in ranking for 25 buying keywords, 5 top local keywords, and 25 blog keywords, significantly boosting their online presence and driving higher e-commerce sales. Consistent monitoring and flexibility are essential for maintaining and enhancing SEO performance over time.
